Marc D. Rosales was born in Pasay City, the Philippines. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, in 1999 and 2004 respectively and his Ph.D from Université Paris-Est in 2014. He has been a faculty member of the University of the Philippines Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute since 2004, and is a faculty affiliate  of the Microelectronics and Microprocessors Laboratory. His research is on RFIC, SiGe Phototransistors, Optoelectronic MMIC and Radio over Fiber.
