Announcements

  • 1/11: To those who would like to clear their INC status (especially those who are planning to take CoE 113 this semester), you can submit your MP and complete the requirements until Friday. Look for your instructor for more details like obtaining an access to Rm. 308. Good luck!
  • 1/8: Due to a family emergency, removal exams for today will only be UNTIL 3pm. For those who cannot make it, I am going to reschedule your exam tomorrow, Jan 9, 2016, from 10am to 12nn. Please e-mail me if you have any concerns. The said schedule will also apply to the INC lab requirements.
  • 1/6: Please claim your removal permits from room 401. I have already signed the forms, you only need to submit them to the college secretary for approval. No fee is needed since the removal exam is within the exam period. You may claim the permits any time before you take the removals.
  • 1/3: Removal exams will be done on Friday, Jan 8, 2015, at room 409. You may come in any time between 10am-11:30am and 1:30pm-5:00pm. For people with BOTH 4.0 grade AND incomplete lab requirements, you will also be required to complete you lab requirements along with the removals on the same day. Otherwise, you will be given a failing grade.
  • 12/18: Tentative class standings can be viewed here. Students who failed lecture but got a passing total grade (lec + lab) will be given a removal exam next year (extra condition: lecture grade must not be <25). You have until 10pm tonight to react. Afterwards, all grades will be considered final.
  • 12/11: Lecture class standings (for everyone) and Lab class standings (for my lab class) can be viewed here.
  • 12/4: If you need to work with the FPGA’s and STC is locked, feel free to look for me or Vion. We can open the room for you on weekdays, 9-5pm. I’ll most probably be at room 409, 407, 401, or 203. -Snap
  • 12/3: The tester for the LCD controller is already uploaded under MP Part 1. Use it as an input generator for your controller. Make sure to include both tester and controller design in a top-level module.
  • 11/27: Starting December 1, we will arrange 2 computers with FPGA set-up in Rm. 308 and will leave the room open from 9am to 5pm. You can go there during your free time to verify your MP. However, you cannot borrow laptops from the Instruments Lab and work at Rm. 308. So we advise that you bring your own laptop or use the desktops in Rm. 308. Bring your flash drives to transfer .bit files.
  • 11/26: Tentative lab grades for FDETRU and FDEHRU. For inquiries, please e-mail me at alvionnes@gmail.com or see me personally at Rm 401 during tuesdays or thursdays. -Vion
  • 11/26: MP specs part2 is already uploaded. Final MP checking for all sections is at Rm 308 on December 11, 2015, 1-4pm. Anyone who is not available during this time is required to submit earlier. Please inform your lab instructors accordingly.
  • 11/23: Deadline for submission of answer sheets (A4) is on Wednesday, Nov 25, 2015, 5PM. Please submit it at my pigeonhole in the admin office.
  • 11/19: MP specs part1 is already uploaded. All other specifications that you need for the LCD interface are in the Spartan 3E User Guide. Please read both documents before you ask questions.
  • 10/29: There will be NO LAB CLASS on Tuesday, Nov 3, and Thursday, Nov 5. However, I will be available for Lab7 late checking. -Vion
  • 10/26: Exam 3 moved to Nov 28, 2015, same time and venue (8:30-11:30AM, LC2). This is due to the APEC week. E-mail me if you have any conflicts.
  • 10/19: Deadline for submission of answer sheets for the second exam will be tomorrow, Oct 20, 5PM. Submit your answer sheets at my pigeonhole at the admin office.
  • 10/6: Due to the recent suspension of classes, I have scheduled a make-up lecture class on Saturday, Oct 10, at 9-11AM. The venue will be room 123 (same as our usual lecture room).
  • 9/14: This is just a reminder that the first exam will push through on Saturday, Sept 19 8:30-10:30AM at LC1.
  • 9/11: Deadline for submission of answer sheets for the first exam will be on Monday, Sept 14 at 5PM. Just submit your answer sheets to my pigeonhole at the admin office. Make sure to write your name on at least 1 page of your submission.
  • 9/7: I have decided to move the review session to next Friday (Sept 18). We will be discussing Lecture 5 (not included in exam 1 coverage) on Friday (Sept 11) instead.
